Your First Vault

A vault is a folder on your disk. Every document, whiteboard, and asset in it is a plain file you can back up, sync, or version however you like.

  1. Launch DocGraph and choose Open Folder (or create a new empty folder first).
  2. DocGraph indexes the folder and shows your file tree in the sidebar.
  • Click the new document button in the sidebar, or
  • Use the command palette and choose New Document.

Documents open in the main pane. Click anywhere in the text and start typing — everything autosaves as you go. There is no save button and no “unsaved changes” state to worry about.

Use the sidebar to create folders, drag files between them, and rename things. Because a vault is just a folder, anything you do in Finder or your file manager is reflected in DocGraph too.
